I have a smartphone that is not the greatest - thought it would be when I bought it but unfortunately it does not hold a charge very long, especially when I leave Instagram or Facebook on (which is something I WANTED a Smartphone for!).  And I tend to forget my power cord at home, so when this promotion came up I thought I would try it!  I also have an iPod that I can use it with, and as it turns out I can use it for my Kindle Fire as well!  For such a little device this baby packs a LOT of juice!  I can plug it into my computer and let it charge up - it has a little light on it that is red while charging, and you know it's done when it turns blue.  Once it is fully charged, just unplug it and take it with you.

I tried it in my car - my phone was very low on battery and I tried it.  Within minutes my phone was charged enough to make calls and use my programs :)  I am thrilled with the results, and I think that anyone with a compatible device would be as well.  I have several friends with very expensive phones that are ALWAYS dying on them at the worst times - and they have to look for wall plugs and it is such a pain!  I recommended the Lifeguard Mini to them because it is so easy to throw in a purse or bag, and isn't really much larger than a cigarette lighter.  I received the silver one for this review, but I really want to get a pink one because hey I am a girl after all :)  And now that I know it works, I won't hesitate to spend the money to get one or more!

If you buy the charger you will get a lightning speed 8-pin cable that is Apple compatible PLUS the Micro USB cable.  So that means even more devices can be used with this product.  A few things to note - don't use in places where there may be gas or high temperatures.  I would not recommend leaving this in a hot car because you don't want to ruin it.  And the normal notes for any electrical device - no liquid or fire.  The specs for this state that it has over 800 life cycles, which is AMAZING.  It has a lithium ion battery, 3000mAh and the maximum charging time is 5 hours for a wall charger and 12 hours for the computer.  It only weighs 3 1/2 pounds!  It also comes with an 18-month guarantee and they have a great support line to help you whenever you need it.
