***My Personal Review***

Marie-Louise is not the Baroness you would imagine in your mind.  From the moment she steps out of the carriage it is clear that she knows her own mind, cares for her familial estate immensely, and is not afraid to do what needs to be done.  Unfortunately when she arrives home and finds that the estate has been left to ruin she does what she can to try to fix it up.  But not being able to access her inheritance until she turns 25 or marries is a dilemma for her.  I can see Marie-Louise as a strong character who just will not be put upon to marry without true love.  I really liked that she does respect her aunt who is the typical aristocrat, but she also does her own thing and tries to get her aunt to come into the new era.  I would definitely recommend this book to those who love historical fiction - that is my favorite genre and this did NOT disappoint by any means!  The love story was not as important to me as the heroine herself and the ancestral home, but the love triangle is also great to read!  But will she choose love or will she give in and marry to save her beloved Hohenstein?  You have to read to find out!

The Reaper Rises by Kristen Taber Cover Reveal :)

Today we're excited to share the cover reveal of The Reaper Rises by Kristen Taber! This is the fourth book in the Aerenden series and releases this summer. This is a high fantasy and the first three books are available on Amazon for only $2.99. They are also available in audiobook and are narrated by Karen Savage. Check them out and sample them here. If you buy the book for your kindle you can get the audiobook for only $1.99!

Check out the cover of The Reaper Rises!
The Reaper Rises (Aerenden #4):
In the months following Meaghan’s reported death, her kingdom has chosen to reestablish villages, hiding behind the protection spells Garon continues to breach. Nick barely holds the Æerenden people together as he prepares them for the final battle.

Meanwhile, the Shadow Guard still thrives. Their spies have infiltrated every part of the kingdom, working to eliminate the royal family and a power they believe will destroy everything good.

Hope and trust have given way to fear and despair. Death seems imminent. And a senseless voice from the past offers the only clue for survival. Keep a fire burning...

About the previous books:
The Child Returns (Aerenden #1):
After witnessing her parents' brutal murders at the hands of red-eyed creatures, Meaghan narrowly escapes the same fate. Her best friend, Nick, tells her the creatures are Mardróch. They come from another world and so does she. Now that the Mardróch have found her, she must return to her homeland of Ærenden or face death.

Left with little choice, she follows Nick into a strange world both similar to Earth and drastically different. Vines have the ability to attack. Monkeys freeze their victims with a glare. Men create bombs from thin air. Even Meaghan's newly discovered empath power turns into a danger she can't control.

But control becomes the least of her worries once the Mardróch begin targeting her. When Nick confesses he knows the reason they want her, she learns the truth behind the kingdom's fifteen-year civil war--a long-buried secret that could cost Meaghan her life.

The Gildonae Alliance (Aerenden #2):
Several months after Meaghan's return to Ærenden, the kingdom's war has taken a turn for the worse. The Mardróch army hunts the new King and Queen, destroying villages in its wake. And Meaghan and Nick, training for battle in their remote section of wilderness, are far from safe. Danger hides in shadows and behind innocent faces. Allies become foes. Each day is a fight to survive. But in the end, only one threat matters. And it's a threat they never see coming.

The Zeiihbu Master (Aerenden #3):
Separated and on opposite sides of the kingdom, Nick and Meaghan face different pursuits which could change the balance of power in Ærenden forever.

While Nick trains the villagers to be soldiers, Meaghan and a small rescue party venture into Zeiihbu to find Faillen's young son, before Garon can use the boy's power to destroy those still fighting against his rule.

Everyone knows Meaghan could be on a suicide mission, but when Nick stumbles upon a secret concealed in one of the southern villages, he realizes that Garon might not be Meaghan's greatest foe. The enemy most likely to kill her is someone who has also promised to keep her safe.

***My Personal Review***

I have trouble keeping earbuds in my ears so headphones is my go-to when I am watching tv.  I work from home and so while I work on my computer I watch movies and tv shows on my laptop to my right.  And of course with my daughter playing in the background on her iPad I usually need headphones so I don't bother her and then of course headphones work great for being able to turn up the sound as much as you want without bothering others.  This pair of headphones is quite different because the ear parts contain more metal than other styles and the headband portion has a quilted pattern on it.  I chose the teal color because I thought they were very stylish and they look great!  They are easily adjustable and the ear part is like a pillow, very soft and will not make your ears sore.  And underneath the top of the headband it is also very soft so you will not have a problem wearing these all day :)  Please check out all of their styles because they have something to fit everyone!  Ohhhh and these are also foldable so they will fold into about half the size and fit easily into a smaller bag.  Very cool!

Millennia ago, he fell from heaven for her.

Can he face her without falling again?

Fascinated with ancient civilizations, seventeen-year-old Mia Crawford dreams of becoming an archaeologist. She also dreams of wings—soft and silent like snow—and somebody trying to steal them.

When a horrible creature appears out of thin air and attacks her, she knows Michael Fontaine is involved, though he claims to know nothing about it. Secretive and aloof, Michael evokes feelings in Mia that she doesn’t understand. Images of another time and place haunt her. She recognizes them—but not from any textbook.

In search of the truth, Mia discovers a past life of forbidden love, jealousy and revenge that tore an angel from Heaven and sent her to an early grave. Now that her soul has returned, does she have a chance at loving that angel again? Or will an age-old nemesis destroy them both?

Ancient history is only the beginning.

Meat Tenderizer - 56-Blade - Sharp Stainless Steel

Meat Tenderizer - 56-Blade - Sharp Stainless Steel

Link to my review on Amazon:

***My Personal Review***

Gone are the days where you have to beat your steaks and other beef to a pulp making a ton of noise that could wake the dead!  This is an awesome little gadget that is about the size of a scrub brush and you just push down and all the stainless steel blades come down and tenderize your meat without mess or lots of noise.  This is great for elderly people or those who might have issues with handling an old-style tenderizer.  Easy to use and quicker than the older ones :)  56 blades too which means that your meat is getting a lot of tenderizing in a very quick timeframe.  Check it out!

Mediderm Trio of Products Review

Mediderm Trio of Products Review

***My Personal Review***

Mediderm sent me 3 awesome products for this review - I received a cold cream, Nanovera moisturizer and an acne kit.  The acne kit has 3 different products: a toner, a cleanser and a gel.  These are NOT small containers either - they are full size products and so far I am loving them.  The cold cream reminds me of my grandma who used to use a cold cream all the time, and I must say for my first time trying one it does work and feel good!  The Nanovera is good for hydration and repairing your skin.  I am very happy with my Mediderm products so far and would love to try some of their other products for dry skin as that is another issue I have :)
