Payton Carter is one of six kids (all of which are named after famous football players), not to mention the only girl in the Carter household. With this much testosterone and no mother, it’s no wonder she’s
absolutely clueless when it comes to makeup, dances, and talking to guys she’s crushing on. And now she’s about ready to start her freshman year of high school, which is nerve wrenching enough, but when she ends up running into her crush, Chance Montgomery, at her dad’s sports restaurant, she finds out that the quarterback for their rival team is moving to Aller Falls. This is nothing short of fate.
Payton realizes she has to find a way to impress Chance and get him to ask her out or at least know she’s interested in him—preferably without dropping a plateful of fries on his head, like she did last time. After taking her two oldest brothers’ advice, she decides to go out for the freshman football team, figuring that between practices and games she and her crush will surely be able to talk. And maybe talking will lead to something more permanent or at least to a first kiss. Only this plan backfires in ways she never imagined, when she beats Chance Montgomery out of the starting quarterback position. Now not only does she make him the laughing stock of the team, but also has to figure out how to avoid the snotty cheerleaders, a traitor best friend, not to mention winning games for her team. Too bad this is just the beginning of her freshman year.

Xnucol Ultra Bright Focus Adjustable Flashlight

Xnucol Ultra Bright Focus Adjustable Flashlight

#XnucolUltraBrightAdjustableFlashlight

***My Personal Review***

So far I really like this flashlight.  It is very sturdy and heavy, I would say it weighs about a pound total.  It's a small flashlight, only about 6 inches in length.  So perfect for small areas for storage.  This takes 3 AAA batteries and they are easy to install as you pull out the battery area and they are snapped into place.  This flashlight is unique in that it has an adjustable focus so that you can focus in on smaller places and get the light exactly where you want it.  You just twist the light end of the flashlight and it screws on and off, giving you leverage for what you need.  I really like how bright this is - when we lose power at my apartment there is absolutely no light whatsoever because we are back in a dark area.  So having a good flashlight handy is a great thing and a must-have.

*** PUBLISHER’S ALERT: MATURE CONTENT WARNING ***
Recommended for ages 16+. Includes scenes that depict drug use, teen sex, and sexual assault.
This book contains mature content and depiction of a seventeen-year-old girl’s rape at the hands of another student. It is a chilling first person point of view account of something that occurs across the country at parties just like the one depicted in this story, and we wanted the fictional account to feel raw and as devastating. We also understand that these scenes may be difficult and uncomfortable for some. We recommend this novel for readers ages sixteen and older.
“I cried, praying for him to finish. I closed my eyes and tried to envision myself somewhere else… somewhere where I was happy. I thought of my family all piled around our tree on Christmas morning. I thought of singing with my band. I thought of Caitlin and me baking cookies and watching movies together. But after just a few seconds of pretending, Mike would hit me or thrust deeper, and I would be back in reality. I was being raped. I was all alone. I was a damsel in distress. And there was no one there to save me.”
Seventeen-year-old Stacey Lorenzo’s poor self-esteem has always consumed her. When significant weight loss leaves her still feeling powerless and with an eating disorder, she turns to partying to cope. Things go from bad ot worse when she is raped, a crushing blow to her psyche from which she may not recover. Stacey drugs, cuts, and hooks up with countless guys in an attempt to dull the pain. But if Stacey doesn’t find a way to face her demons and overcome her fears, she might find herself in a hole so dark, even love won’t be able to pull her out.
Barren is written by debut author Elizabeth Miceli. It is a devastating and dark account of one girl’s plummet to the very bottom of the human experience and the horrific and petrifying road to recovery and self-worth.

Book Title: Keeping Her Secret (Endless Summer series)
Author: Sarah Nicholas
Release Date: August 22, 2016
Genre: YA Contemporary F/F Romance

Two girls. One kiss.

The last person Riya Johnson expected to run into at her new summer camp is Courtney Chastain—her childhood best friend and the girl who broke her heart after a secret, mind-blowing, life-altering kiss. She definitely didn’t expect to be sharing a bunk bed with her for four long weeks.

Courtney has what every girl wants—she’s beautiful, rich, and the object of every boy’s desire at Camp Pine Ridge. Too bad none of them make her feel an iota of what Riya’s kiss did all those years ago. But Courtney needs to uphold appearances at all costs—even if it means instigating an all-out prank war with Riya as her main target.

Neither girl can stop thinking about the other...but that doesn’t mean they can give up past hurts and take a chance on a future together.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains drinking, sexual situations, and a fairy-tale romance sure to make your heart melt.

***EXCERPT***

A breeze ruffled her ponytail and Riya's gaze snapped to the door. Courtney strolled in like a freaking Nordic Goddess with her head held high, cheeks flushed and skin glowing. Sunkissed legs stretched from a pair of sparkly sandals up for miles and miles until finally disappearing under the hem of low-hung white shorts. Flashes of smooth stomach teased as her pink top moved with every graceful step.

Riya's heart pounded in her chest. Courtney Chastain was trying to kill her. That outfit was a perfectly crafted murder weapon. Checking to make sure her mouth didn't hang open, Riya tore her gaze from Courtney and swallowed. Hard.

***My Personal Review***

Super cute lanterns that are very colorful and bright for any occasion.  They come in 4 different sizes and this 7 pack gives you a great variety.  They are really easy to assemble, you pop up the lanterns and insert the holder into the center and anchor it underneath the holes on the top.  Voila you are ready to go!  Then you can insert your lights or whatever you are using and hang them up.  These are not made of heavy paper so you have to be careful, but they hold up pretty well.  Very nice set, I was happy with it :)

***My Personal Review***

Very unique set of wine glasses - first of all they are larger than most wine glasses, I would say they hold about double what a regular wine glass holds.  Secondly they have a very unique design in that the bottom of the glass is not round but more of a square shape.  They have a nice long stem and are very classy looking.  They remind me of crystal with the way they shine and the craftmanship is awesome, love the swirls in the glass.

5x1 5-Port HDMI Switch/Switcher

5x1 5-Port HDMI Switch/Switcher

#henikenswitch

 ***My Personal Review***

I have several things such as a DVD player, gaming device and a tv stick that I use on my television.  I don't have cable so I like to be able to switch back and forth between these devices.  Until now I had to remove the HDMI cable and manually switch them each time.  This is awesome because it will switch up to 5 different devices with the touch of a button.  Very easy to use and LOVE that it comes with a small remote control!  It's easy to hook up - you just plug your main HDMI into this and the tv and then plug all your devices into the switcher one by one.  Plug it in and use the sticky pad to secure the switch to your shelf or stand, making sure it is pointing outward so the remote can reach it.  Then it just works off of the infrared rays and you can switch from one device to the other quickly.  You can also use the switch manually by touching the select button each time.  But the remote is great :)  I plugged three devices into this switcher and they all worked great, the cables fit securely and did not wiggle.

***My Personal Review***

This is a nice set of lights, love the frosted look and they are very pretty when lit up.  Unfortunately I had a bit of trouble keeping the plug in the socket and it stopped connecting so I only was able to see them for a few minutes.  This has a plug on one end and a connector plug on the other end so you can plug more in.  It has a box that tells you what the lights will do if you keep pressing the button.  They were very neat when they started, loved the blinking.  Perfect set for winter or a tree or along bannisters ... whatever you want.  Like I said when they turned on they were great.
