#LightSpectrumsPoetry
I have chosen to release 25 poems in a novel today in celebration of
World Poetry Day (March 21st) and the Spring Equinox (March 20th). The
novel, "Light Spectrums," falls under both themes, as many poems in this
novel are spring and nature related. The poems in "Light Spectrums"
uses at least half a dozen poetry forms including Haiku's, Tanka's,
Triolet's, Shadorma's, Sonnets, and Acrostics. To mention a few titles:
"If My Heart Were a Flower" (Reverse Haiku), "Fringe" (Haiku), "War and
Phoenix" (Haiku), "Spring" (Triolet), "Purple Prisms" (Tanka), and
"Escape From the Cities" (Shadorma).
This book is a collection of beautiful poems titled "Light Spectrums" by Jessica Fuqua. It contains several types of poetry genres. I loved reading them, and they are all beautiful but there were a few that really caught my eye. The author uses the seasons and nature to move the reader and it works. I love poetry and I am not familiar with all the types, so this book is a great starter for those who don't read poetry a lot. Superb read, definitely pick up a copy!
The poetry book is easy to read and the author focuses on nature in this particular book and I cannot wait to read more from her. She is also a blogger and you can tell that her poems come from the heart. I had a couple favorites out of this book, "Dandelions" which reminds me of my life in a lot of ways and completely describes how I feel about my daughter and the love she has brought into my life :) The poem describes how like the "cowardly lion" I want to give up but cannot and my daughter would be the "dandelion" who inspires me every day so that I don't give up. Even moreso this poem spoke to me because my daughter LOVES dandelions - she wants to go outside all the time and pick them and loves to blow on them. So it definitely was my favorite :) My other favorite is "Aura" although I can't totally explain why ... it just moved me.
