SILICONE POT HOLDERS

#siliconePotHolders

***My Personal Review***

Always looking for a non-slip item to open something easily or stop something from slipping?  These trivets can do SO much for you - they are great for a lot of things including pulling hot pans from the oven, using them for trivets and things like changing light bulbs that are hot or using as a non-slip surface for anything you need!  You get a set of 5 different colors and they are the perfect size so your whole hand is covered if you are using something hot, they have a hole on one side to hang them in your kitchen.  I like them because they can be used for so many purposes and they are not overly large or heavy.  And of course silicone is one of the best things I believe they have ever made for kitchen accessories :)  You definitely need to grab a pack of these on Amazon for just $15.99!

But the worst is yet to come …

In the infamous City of Lights, home to both the Witch Clans and the Vampire Council, Tori enrolls at the exclusive Belles Fontaines school in Paris, where she is faced with a devastating choice: choose Christian and be an outcast, or choose the coven and secure her place with the witches.

When the fate of the supernatural world is targeted by a sinister new threat, Christian and Victoria must unite their two warring species to defeat it. Their bond will be tested, twisted, and sorely weakened, and Tori will find herself in uncharted territory—a dangerous place to be when her blood’s magic has its own dark agenda.

Dead-Jed-Cover
Dead Jed is Shaun of the Dead meets Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Jed's not your typical junior high geek. He is, to use the politically-correct term, cardiovascularly-challenged. And while his parents have attempted to shield him from the implications of being 'different' for as long as they could (Jed was 8 and at a friend's sister's birthday party when he blew his lips off onto the cake in front of everyone, finally prompting the “Big Talk” from his parents and an emergency SuperGlue repair by his dad), 7th grade at Pine Hollow Middle School as a target of Robbie the supreme school bully and his pack of moronic toadies is rapidly becoming unbearable.
From being stuffed in a filled trash can as “dead meat” and into a trophy case as the bully's “prize,” to literally having his hand pulled off in the boys' room (Jed's always losing body parts. Luckily, a good stapler and some duct tape and he's back in the action) and a cigarette put in it and try to frame him for the recent reports of smoking in the school, Jed's had enough and is ready to plan his revenge. Besides, it's awesome what you can do when you're already dead!

Dead-Jed-2-Cover
The first part of seventh grade was rough on Jed, but things are looking up now that Christmas is almost here. As with past Christmases, Jed asks for the one thing he’s always wanted–a dog–and again, his parents tell him they’re not ready. But fate has a different plan when Jed sees a dog get run over by a car. Then, it happens. Jed suddenly has a pet, Tread, a zombie dog bearing his namesake–a tire tread down his back. Jed may have gained a dog, but he loses his best friend Luke, who fears the way Jed created his undead pet.
When Jed returns to school, he finds a mysterious group called the No Zombies Now Network spreading rumors of the dangers the undead pose to normal people. Forced to disprove Hollywood stereotypes, Jed has his work cut out for him as stories of a zombie dog begin to circulate. Jed could be expelled if he can’t expose the NZN Network as a fraud. Jed needs help from his kind of girlfriend Anna, especially after he discovers Luke has joined the shadowy group.
Once again navigating the treacherous waters of middle school, Jed does his best to stay in one piece. Only this time he’ll need even more duct tape and staples than usual.

JMK
Jackie Morse Kessler grew up in Brooklyn, NY, with a cranky cat and overflowing shelves filled with dolls and books. Now she’s in Upstate NY with another cranky cat, a loving husband, two sons, and overflowing shelves filled with dragons and books (except when her sons steal her dragons). She has a bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature, and yet she’s never read any Jane Austen (with or without zombies). She also has a master’s degree in media ecology. (The living study of technology and culture. Which is cool, but she still can’t figure out how to use Tweetdeck.)
Jackie spends a lot of time writing, reading, and getting distracted by bright and shiny new ideas. (She just came up with a new idea right now.) She has a weakness for chocolate and a tendency to let her cat take over her office chair.

***My Personal Review***

I truly enjoyed reading this book - Anna is a very likable character with flaws and bad judgment that we can all relate to.  Unlucky enough too that her first homicide happens to be a rich couple that were dealt a very grisly death.  She has her thoughts about the wife's twin brother possibly being the killer but somehow she is drawn to him and begins to have feelings for him (bad judgment indeed).  Her partner Kreeger seems to be a pretty even character although he is not as complex and in-depth as Anna's character.  I love to watch the true homicide stories on television and this fit that bill perfectly!  It was like watching an episode of Dateline - finding out there were secrets and lies but you don't know who did it until you are so far involved that you are connected to the characters.  And I really like the way Anna is dealing with her own demons that parallels the main storyline, it really gives the story an extra dimension :)  All in all I loved it and I won't give any of the secrets away because you have to read it!  Definitely a 5 star read :)

Cybele LoeningAbout the Author:

Becoming a novelist was a dream come true for Cybele Loening, and one that was many years in the making. Like many aspiring writers and creative types, when she completed her education, she didn’t think she could make a living doing what she loved. So, she took a job that was related to writing but not actually writing: She became an editor. She loved editing but never gave up her dream of writing a novel someday.

It wasn’t until she was in her late thirties that she finally realized “someday” was right now. After many years of working in Corporate America, she was burned out of her job and exhausted by city living. She realized she was giving her best energy to a career and life that no longer fit. So, she took a huge leap of faith and quit her job to write full-time. The book she began writing eventually became Dead Lies.

Quitting her job was a scary step, but it changed her life. Tapping away at her keyboard, she realized she was happier than she had been in a while. She felt creative and energized again and was thrilled to have discovered her passion, her life’s work.

That one brave step into the unknown led to other wonderful changes in her life. For years she had dreamed of living in the country, so she began renting a cottage in Litchfield County, Connecticut, to see how it felt. She never looked back. And it was in this idyllic place that she met her soul mate and now husband, the life and business coach, Brooke Loening. They married a few years later, and together they renovated a home in which they now both live and work.

Spending her days writing and living in a place she loves, she has found bliss she never thought possible.

A spiritual seeker and lover of all of life’s mysteries, Cybele is hard at work on the next book in the Anna Valentine Detective Series and a memoir. She is also a blogger with a global mission: to help women achieve their dreams and live their very best lives.

You can find her at www.cybeleloening.com, and on Facebook (Cybele Loening and Cybele Loening Mysteries) and Twitter (@CybeleLoening).

Flower Girl Bridesmaid Bridal Tiara Comb

Flower Girl Bridesmaid Bridal Tiara Comb

BRIDESMAID TIARA COMB

#TiaraComb

***My Personal Review***

This is a super cute and fun dress-up comb for any bridesmaid or flower girl.  It is actually very high quality and sturdy, it's not cheaply made and it doesn't bend or break easily.  Perfect for making that little girl feel like the princess she is!  My daughter is 8 and she loved it, loves to put it on while she's playing.

When it's on it looks just like an actual tiara because the comb is hidden in the hair and it really looks like diamonds even though it is made with clear crystal beads and rhinestone crystals in silver plated settings  I think any young girl would love this for a wedding or even just for their tea parties.  Make it fun and make it beautiful and stylish :)
