Sam, whose dad works for the powerful Mystique military base, for
answers. In her quest to discover the truth, Presley’s relationship

***GUEST POST***
Five things you may not know about the
town of Mystique:
The town of Mystique, Maine does not
exist anywhere other than in my mind. For some reason when I think
about mysterious towns, I think of Maine. Go figure. Perhaps it’s
all those Stephen King novels I’ve heard about. Here are a few
things, going into the story of MYSTIQUE, that just might help you
gain a little bit of insight into the town. =)
#1: Mystique is located on the
shoreline. Presley was promised a beach town, but didn’t realize
the water in Maine is cold ALL THE TIME. It’s crazy pretty there,
but cold.
#2: It is the quintessential small
town. So small that you have to drive about fifteen miles to hit a
Target.
#3: Most of the residents of Mystique
have lived there all their lives. When the military base moved in the
town grew a bit but not much. Only a select few employees of the base
were relocated, most were residents of Mystique already.
#4: Mystique was chosen specifically
for the location of the military base because of how secluded and
small of a town it is. Secrets are easier to keep this way. =)
#5: The Mystique military base rarely
fires their employees. Once you work there, you work there for life.
