***My Personal Review***
Talk about putting fun into brain games! ThinkFun has invented SO many great games that use fun ways to make you think. The Shell Game tests your logic, so it was hard for me because I have never been good at logic puzzles :) But it is fun to try, and a great way to increase brain function and it would be great for helping kids learn. The game itself comes with a binder book filled with 60 brain teasing games to play so you will never get bored; sea shells, hermit crabs and ocean stones as well as the booklet which includes instructions AND solutions (so you can get help if you are like me). Memory is a GREAT skill for this game because you place the shells over the colored stones and then move them around according to the instructions and try to get them into the corresponding colors on the board, and see if you can remember which color is under which shell. The shells look the same so it is hard but if you were or are good at the memory game then you will LOVE this :) If you uncover the shells when finished and the colors match you win! The trick is that you can ONLY use the preset lines to move the shells along, so not only do you have to remember where each color is you have to do it while trying to rearrange them strategically.
They sell brain games for 18 months to adult, and they are all very unique and I can't wait to try a few more - thinking of trying a few for my daughter who has Williams syndrome and is developmentally delayed to see if she can do any of them. You will never get bored with 60 puzzles, and this would be a great game for small parties too - you could compete and score points for each puzzle you complete. The one with the most scores wins! Please check out their website to see all the other games they have available, but I definitely recommend the shell game :) They even have game bundles and digital downloads.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
