***My Personal Review***

A lot of people nowadays are going gluten-free because they have to due to Celiac disease or they do it to improve their health.  Either way it can be difficult to find tasty things to cook with if you are on the Paleo diet or gluten-free this will be great for you.  Plus I LOVE almonds and this is 100% pure California ground almond flour so no fillers or extras and it is surprisingly low in carbs which is great because I am a Type 2 Diabetic so I will be telling a lot of people about this because it is so low in carbs.  Just know that because this has a texture that is more like brown sugar than regular flour that it will not work for all recipes, so you will want to do some research on it before adding it :)  But almonds have a really sweet flavor and are one of my favorite nuts so I am excited to use it.  I received a huge 5 pound bag of this flour so it is going to last me a long time especially since you want to only use it for certain recipes.  But this a definite must-try if you don't have a nut allergy and are on a gluten-free or Paleo diet :)  Give it a shot!  They also sell coconut flour so check that out while you are purchasing this!

Here is a great recipe I found online for Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies!  This is from http://www.elanaspantry.com

Primal Chocolate Chip CookiesServes: 18 cookies

Ingredients
2 cups blanched almond flour
¼ teaspoon celtic sea salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ cup palm shortening
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup chocolate chunks

Instructions
Combine almond flour, salt and baking soda in a food processor
Pulse in shortening, honey and vanilla until dough forms
Remove blade from processor and stir in chocolate chunks by hand
Scoop dough one level tablespoon at a time onto a parchment lined baking sheet
Press balls of dough down gently
Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes
Cool for 15 minutes (do not handle prior or cookies will break)

Give it a try and check out Elanas Pantry website for quite a few more recipes!
