Gerbs
in the House: The Dilly Dally Bedtime Routine
About
The Book
Mocha says it’s bedtime, but Petri wants
nothing to do with it! Reading books, singing lullabies and juggling
plates are only a few of the things Mocha does in an attempt to tire his son
out. Although Petri is entertained, he still refuses to sleep. He just wants to
dilly dally! Worn out by his son’s shenanigans and silly antics, will Mocha
ever get Petri to bed before losing his marbles?

***My Personal Review***
This is the CUTEST book! It takes real gerbils and dresses them in paper doll clothes, uses itty bitty couches and what I assume are dollhouse stairs, couches and other furniture and tells the story through those pictures as well as words. I loved it, and my daughter was just amazed she was like "mommy look it's a mouse!" - she doesn't know the difference but she fell in love with the little guy! The story focuses on bedtime and what the gerbs have to do to get ready to go to bed. This is a great story that I think any kid would enjoy, and I loved the outtakes part at the end of the book! I laughed while reading it to my daughter, but then she enjoyed reading it using just the pictures because she is unable to read words yet. So this works for any child and I hope to read more like this!
