Extremely light and small scale for your every need in the kitchen!  Opened the box, pulled out the tab in the battery and it started up!  Ready for immediate use :)  Turns off by itself after just a few minutes and you just press the right side button to turn it back on.  Of course I had to try to weigh everything I could find LOL!  The scale is perfectly accurate to the ounce and it doesn't take long at all - you get your result almost immediately.  It also has arcs on the scale to show you exactly where to center your item to get the best result.

This would be a great item to have for the person who is on a diet or even a diabetic who needs to weigh their food all the time.  And unlike some of the older scales, it is SUPER easy to clean - like a flat top stove you just wipe it off and no worries!  I weighed a bowl of potato salad - I just weighed the bowl by itself first and then added the salad to get the correct weight :)

This scale is so slim it is only maybe 1/2 inch thick so you could stash it sideways with your cookbooks, or in a drawer, almost anywhere :)  And some other ways I thought about using this is for weighing mail items for shipping or even for weighing craft items like wax for candles.  This scale comes in 3 colors - you can choose from Black, Red or Silver.  I received the Black scale but you can find one to match any kitchen design!

The Benefits of Using a Food Scale
From Everyday Health

If you’re on a diet, you’re watching serving sizes and calories. A great way to keep yourself honest is to use a food scale. Why? Because many people normally eat servings that are much larger than recommended amounts. A food scale teaches you portion control and keeps you from eating more than you planned.
“I definitely promote food scales,” says Liz Weinandy, RD, MPH, a dietitian in the non-surgical weight-loss program at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
A food scale can be used for any meal plan or diet that specifies a serving size in ounces. A national survey of more than 6,000 adults showed that people who measured their food were more successful at losing weight and keeping it off than those who did not.

Food Scale: Calculating Portion Sizes While Eating Out
You could take along your measuring cups and scales when eating out, but that is a bulky way to travel. Weinandy prefers teaching dieters about visual comparisons that can help guide their recognition of serving sizes on their plate.
For example, a serving of meat is about the size of a deck of cards, and a serving of pasta should fit in the palm of your hand.
“I really focus on those [images] because people can visualize them when they are out and about,” Weinandy says.
If you frequently use a food scale at home, you will gradually become accustomed to the look and feel of correct serving sizes. Data show that exposure to correct serving sizes does help people make better choices in restaurant settings, too.

Don't miss out on this great deal - right now you can get the Kitchen Gurus Digital Food Scale for just $24.99 plus shipping (regular price is $39.99).

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
