***My Personal Review***

So after being selected for this review I decided to find out what exactly a French Press does.  I am not a big coffee drinker, but I love coffee products such as cappuccino, espresso and more.  And I had some coffee beans left over from another promotion that I decided to use with it.  One thing I didn't know is that this can be used for tea leaves as well as coarsely ground coffee.  Which is awesome because I also have some Oolong tea in it's original plant form that I love to make as well - so I was able to test this a few ways.  I was pretty impressed - it works to make a great pot of tea if you don't want just one cup.  However if you are a one-cupper then you probably will just want regular teabags or a coffeepot that makes just one cup at a time.  But if you want to have a nice chat at the kitchen table and need a warm pot of coffee or tea then this is the perfect item for you!  If you are new to french presses, it is basically a way to infuse your coffee using the actual grounds IN the coffee and then pressing them out before pouring - this gives you a much bolder flavor to your coffee than the regular coffeemaker which just runs water through the ground coffee.  So you add your ground coffee (make sure it is NOT finely ground though because it will not press correctly and you will end up with coffee grounds in your cup).  Then add your water and you let it set just like you would with a tea infuser.  All this time the coffee beans are sitting in your water and stewing.  Then when you are ready just start pressing the top down and it begins to separate the beans to the bottom of the container, leaving the nice bold rich cup of coffee to pour.  I used it a few times and I never had a problem with the press coming loose or "stopping up the works".  It's a very pretty, stylish and fashionable item and it fits perfectly with my kitchen style which is coffee themed!  So just this item sitting in my kitchen works for me :)  I found you get a nice froth on top of the coffee from this and I have never seen that happen with regular coffeemakers.  Seems to be made of very sturdy material and held up well the few times I have used it so far.  It has a very nice handle to carry the canister without dropping it or burning your hands.  Personally I think it's a great deal :)
