I have only had one pizza stone my entire life and it has been a long time since I used one - probably about 20 years. So I was excited to try this out. It's a very heavy stone you need 2 hands to handle it - but it cooks any kind of dough perfectly. I made biscuits on it for the first use and they turned out so much nicer than if I use a cookie sheet. I like the stone because it's flat so you can get more dough on it, and it's quite a bit larger than even a big cookie sheet. But probably the nicest part about a stone is that it cooks evenly on every part - it heats through and everything cooks at the same time. So no "cold spots" as I call them. Overall this is a great stone I am extremely happy with it and can't wait to make a pizza and cookies on it!
