A Tale About a Tail by Elena Staniv Review :)

A Tale About A Tail by Elena Staniv

***My Personal Review***

I really thought this was a cute book, loved the colors and the story was just short enough to keep kids interested.  My daughter has a very short attention span and she seemed to enjoy the book and she doesn't normally like to read with me. Very cool storyline, would recommend to any kid.

Guardian of Secrets (Library Jumpers #2) by Brenda Drake Blog Tour with Guest Post and Giveaway :)

Guardian of Secrets (Library Jumpers #2)
by Brenda Drake
Publication Date: February 7, 2017
Publisher: Entangled Teen

Being a Sentinel isn’t all fairytales and secret gardens.

Sure, jumping through books into the world’s most beautiful libraries to protect humans from mystical creatures is awesome. No one knows that better than Gia Kearns, but she could do without the part where people are always trying to kill her. Oh, and the fact that Pop and her had to move away from her friends and life as she knew it.

And if that isn’t enough, her boyfriend, Arik, is acting strangely. Like, maybe she should be calling him “ex,” since he’s so into another girl. But she doesn’t have time to be mad or even jealous, because someone has to save the world from the upcoming apocalypse, and it looks like that’s going to be Gia.

Maybe. If she survives.

OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES:

Gia Kearns would rather fight with boys than kiss them. That is, until Arik, a leather clad hottie in the Boston Athenaeum, suddenly disappears. While examining the book of world libraries he abandoned, Gia unwittingly speaks the key that sucks her and her friends into a photograph and transports them into a Paris library, where Arik and his Sentinels—magical knights charged with protecting humans from the creatures traveling across the gateway books—rescue them from a demonic hound.

Jumping into some of the world's most beautiful libraries would be a dream come true for Gia, if she weren’t busy resisting her heart or dodging an exiled wizard seeking revenge on both the Mystik and human worlds. Add a French flirt obsessed with Arik and a fling with a young wizard, and Gia must choose between her heart and her head, between Arik's world and her own, before both are destroyed.

***GUEST POST***

Today to celebrate the release of GUARDIAN OF SECRETS I’m here to share my dream cast for the Library Jumpers series. I’m sure most of us wonder who would be the perfect actor for our favorite book characters should they make it into a movie. When sketching a character, I tend to search for actors and save pictures of them in a folder so that I can have a visual while writing the story. So, here’s a list of what I think would be close to the perfect cast.

Lead roles:

Gia: I think Maia Mitchell is nearly a perfect fit for Gia. All she’d need was some green-colored contact lenses and she’d be a perfect match.

Arik: Okay, so Gregg Sulkin is totally Arik for me. And he even has dimples! So I had to give you two pics of him one sexy and one with those adorable dimples.

Bastien: It was difficult to find an actor for him. I wanted to find actors that were close to my characters ages, because I wanted them to be as true to today’s actors as possible. I think Sterling Beaumon comes pretty close. Especially while posing like this!

Gia’s friends:

Nick: In my novel, Nick is of Italian descent. I’m not sure if Nick Robinson is or not, but he resembles my son, who Nick is created after, so he fits perfect. Fun fact, Nick Robinson and I share the same birthday!

Afton: I really enjoyed writing Afton. She’s sassy, into style, and just beautiful. And Kiersey Nicole Clemons is all that and a bag full of makeup!

The Sentinels:

Lei: I really like Lei in the story. She’s fierce with humor. Erika Toda is exactly how imagine her. Such beauty and strength!

Kale: Every assemble needs a strong, patient character and Kale is that for this story. Another character I had a hard time matching up with an actor, but I think Avan Jogia will do nicely.

Demos: What can I say about Demos? He’s Nick’s nemisis and he has a great sense of humor. I think Luke Benward fits him well.

Jaran: I had to save one of my favorites for last. I think Corbin Bleu is a good match for him. You don’t get to know Jaran very well in book one, but he plays a major role in book two. He’s sensitive and caring and I just want to sit and watch movies and drink hot cocoa with him. You’ll see if you buy book two!

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. I’ve lived with these characters for so long, I’m ready to go on the next journey with them. I hope you join us!

Any Boy but You (North Pole, Minnesota #1) by Julie Hammerle Blog Tour!

Any Boy but You (North Pole, Minnesota #1) by Julie Hammerle
Publication Date: February 13, 2017
Publisher: Entangled: Crush

Elena Chestnut has been chatting with an anonymous boy late into the night. It’s a very You’ve Got Mail situation, and she has no idea who he is. He can’t be Oliver Prince, hot-and-bashful son of the family running the rival sporting goods store. Their fancy sales strategies are driving Elena’s family out of business. Elena’s mystery boy has teamed up with her in their latest sales strategy, an augmented reality game, to help her win the grand-prize plane tickets. Money’s so tight Elena’s going to miss senior year spring break with her friends if she can’t win this game.

The girl Oliver's fallen head-over-heels for online had better not be Elena Chestnut. She's his angry, vindictive Latin tutor, the daughter of his dad’s business rival, and the one girl he’d never even think of kissing. She’s definitely not his online crush, because that girl is funny, sweet, and perfect.

When Oliver asks to reveal their names at the Valentine’s Day dance, their IRL relationship will either ruin what they have online, or they’ll discover just how thin the line between love and hate really is.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains swearing, snowball fights, and sexual tension that could melt the North Pole. Read at your own risk.

Before settling down to write "for real," she studied opera, taught Latin, and held her real estate license for one hot minute. Currently, she writes about TV on her blog Hammervision, ropes people into conversations about Game of Thrones, and makes excuses to avoid the gym. Her favorite YA-centric TV shows include 90210 (original spice), Felicity, and Freaks and Geeks. Her iPod reads like a 1997 Lilith Fair set list.

She lives in Chicago with her husband, two kids, and a dog. They named the dog Indiana.

My Any Boy but You Dream Cast

I don’t always cast my books before writing them; but for Any Boy but You, I definitely had someone in mind for Oliver (and it’s even referenced in the book). I pictured Richard Madden (AKA Robb Stark from Game of Thrones) the whole time. However, Madden is 30 now, and it might be kind of a stretch to have him play a 17-year-old.

For Elena—again I’m going the Beverly Hills 90210 route and casting someone way older than a high schooler—I’d want someone who could embody her snarky, sometimes bitter attitude, like Vella Lovell from My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She can deliver a line like no one’s business.

I could totally see AnnaSophia Robb for Harper. I have no idea for Regina, maybe a young Kat Dennings or the Superbad version of Emma Stone. For Stan Stashiuk, the professional hockey player upon whom the book’s central game is based, I pictured a professional basketball player—Joakim Noah.

Weddings, Crushes, and Other Dramas (Creative HeArts #6, Willa & Finn #2) by Emily McKay Blog Tour Spotlight!

Weddings, Crushes, and Other Dramas (Creative HeArts #6, Willa & Finn #2) by Emily McKay
Publication Date: February 13, 2017
Publisher: Entangled Teen Crush

Falling in love with the best man wasn’t on the program.

Willa is happy to be the maid of honor in her dad’s upcoming wedding to uber-celeb Mia McCain. Not as happy about the best man being her soon-to-be stepbrother, the infuriating—and infuriatingly gorgeous—Finn McCain. Every time their paths cross, the attraction simmering between them grows a little harder to ignore. Willa knows all about guys like Finn—they only want what they can’t have. What’s between them isn’t real.

Finn has never felt anything more real than what’s developing between him and Willa. Sure, her dad warned him to steer clear, but it’s not just about forbidden temptation. He’s determined to prove to Willa he’s not going anywhere—and that happily-ever-after will always be worth the risk.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains a wedding so crazy it’ll make you laugh, a stepbrother so hot he’ll make you swoon, and a heroine so real she’ll make you cry.

OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES:

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains an unbelievably hot bad boy, an unbelievably famous actress, and all the drama that comes with adding both to your family. Oh, and a forbidden flirtation with a soon-to-be stepbrother.

When Willa Schofer’s father comes home from a business trip with an über-famous new fiancée, Willa’s senior year blows up in paparazzi-fueled flames. Overnight, she has a new house, a new car, and a new soon-to-be stepbrother—the unbelievably hot, unbelievably arrogant, Finn McCain. Thank god he’s constantly pushing her buttons, or she might do something irresponsible. Like fall for the jerk.

Just when Willa’s decided to avoid him for, oh, ever, Finn lands in the center of her senior project team. Seriously—how hard is it to shake a guy? At least her work on the project snagged the attention of the (second) hottest guy in school. He might only be into her because of her famous stepmom, and he’s not quite as exciting as a certain annoying housemate, but at least she’s allowed to crush on the guy.

Because crushing on your annoying stepbrother? So not cool.

Goodreads:

Emily McKay is a life-long fan of books, pop-culture and anything geeky. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and baking cookies. When she’s not kicking-ass and scooping cookie dough, she’s watching videos from Screen Junkies (her favorite Youtube channel) or Pemberly Digital or Classic Alice. Okay, she has a Youtube problem! She’s seeking help. Really. Though, she may also have a slight problem with procrastination.

When the internet is down and there are no chocolate chips in the house, she does write books – everything from Harlequin romance novels to post-apocalyptic YA. Though her interests may appear broad, the common denominators are swoony heroes and snarky humor.
