***My Personal Review***

Anyone who knows me well knows that I adore medieval literature, and I also love to read Young Adult books so this was right up my alley!  Don't let the title throw you off, this book is superb - the characters are very well-written and the settings are amazing :)  I am a huge fan of the Tudor/Lancaster history but you don't have to know about it to really enjoy this book.  Great read for Young Adults.  Like a lot of literature, there are 2 female protagonists in the book - Sibyl the servant girl and Isabel the princess.  And the juxtaposition between the 2 could not be better.  War is on the horizon and the 2 girls must change with the new world.  A great coming-of-age and finding yourself story, and has a lot of bits of the fantastical as well as suspense weaved throughout the book.  The setting is during the reign of Henry IV, which was a very tumultuous time in English history and the story alternates between the POV of Sibyl and Isabel, making each of them a very complex and intriguing character.  I really liked the way the tension builds just like the war that is brewing - the characters start out as having a whole chapter to themselves but as things become more suspenseful the author starts to switch back and forth much more often, several times per chapter.  Definitely recommend this for any young adult who is into princesses and history or even suspense!  And an inexpensive read at just $3.97 for the Kindle book!
