Great Summer Reads Part 14

"Heather Wallace is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, writer, equestrian, and animal massage therapist.

Her first book, Equestrian Handbook of Excuses, was a 2017 Literary Selection for the Equus Film Festival. Her second book, Confessions of a Timid Rider, is an autobiography detailing Heather Wallace’s insights about being an anxiety-ridden but passionate equestrian.

After returning to riding as a mother, she is determined to follow her dreams despite the fear she is somehow lacking in talent or ability. An in-depth look into the heart and head of a returning adult equestrian, this message is not limited only those  with horse experience.

In fact, Confessions of a Timid Rider is the perfect book to read for anyone whom even for a moment questions their value in their designated profession or life choice. This book will inspire you to pursue your dreams despite the inner voice that says you aren’t good enough.

"For a long time I let that fear get in my way. I always felt like I was missing something when I stepped away from horses during my teens.

I’ve come a long way since I took that first step back to horsemanship as an adult. When I say I am a timid rider, it is not because I am scared to ride. Oh no, it is because I am scared to fail. I am scared that I cannot live up to my own expectations. That my insecurities will hold me back. Or that I will let my anxiety be greater than my passion once again and step away, or worse, not try to be the person I want to be. My self doubt tries to hold me back but I refuse to give in.

These are the confessions of a timid rider."

Snippets:

#1.     “Face your fears and push through them however you can to follow your passion. Because the very thing you most fear is the very thing you may need to be happy.”

#2. “Taking that first step to start riding again, to start a new business, and to write that first blog post in 2016 was incredibly hard for me. However, instead of succumbing to my fears and insecurities like I did as a child, I am now determined to become stronger and face my challenges head on.”

Evie lives an idealic lifestyle until she travels to Seattle. Here she believes her dreams can flourish.

But will her love save her when she is involved in a riding misfortune?

Snippet:

“More like ‘the whipping boy’ around you and Kevin. I always knew Kevin loved me when he teased. Even when you guys were hurtful, Kevin gave me a hug later when we gathered as a family. But not you. You laughed it off. I’m not mad, Justin. But it’s past time I let you know, your teasing hurt.”
Shocked, Justin forgot to breathe.
Evie slipped off the desk and left the room.

Justin’s stomach dropped. He was stunned at her words. He sucked at the air, catching the scent of her perfume and sank back into the chair. His knee throbbed. He eased his foot onto the desk. A sense of loss burned in his belly. He hooked the door with his cane, closing it. A shudder of remorse wracked his body. Where had he gone wrong? He tried to remember just one, any specific incident of teasing without success. Would she have let him apologize when he knew his words cut her deeply? Would he have been enough of a man to apologize? Maybe he should’ve swallowed his pride and hugged her just like Kevin did, but he’d wanted more, so much more. Yes, he remembered one night in particular. He hadn’t teased—at least not with his words. Oh, he had teased himself as much as he did her on that night. He’d enjoyed that ‘teasing’ and planned for a whole lot more. That damned promise. She’d been off limits once he made that promise. Did Kevin still hold him to that promise? Was it too late?

Hair Removal for Women Waterproof Facial Hair Removal Painless Nose Hair Trimmer with Rechargeable USB Cable Review

Hair Removal for Women Waterproof Facial Hair Removal Painless Nose Hair Trimmer with Rechargeable USB Cable

***My Personal Review***

Something I have always struggled with is excess hair in places that women should not have hair, i.e. face, chin, etc.  I have never been able to find something that worked well and didn't hurt like waxing or shaving everyday.  So I decided to give this a try and see if it would be a good solution.

The product itself comes in a nice box and it's sleek and black in color with silver trim, honestly you wouldn't even know what it was if it wasn't for the box.

I found that it was very easy to put together and use.  It does NOT take batteries - this is fully operated and charged on a USB dongle.  The kit comes ready to go with the normal shaver attachment which is how the lid will fit on it.  The nose hair attachment comes separate and will NOT accommodate the lid.

It comes charged and ready to go, I tested it on my finger first to see if anything would hurt, and found that all I got was a small vibration feeling.  So this is safe to have around children, even if they touch it while it's on it will not hurt them.  But it does work for nose (makes me sneeze LOL) and it worked on a few longer hairs around my facial area.

ANEWISH 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad Mouse Combo Review

ANEWISH 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad Mouse Combo

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074QP5LRW

#freeproduct #review #productreview #anewish

***My Personal Review***

This is a nice little compact mini keyboard that has basically everything you need to play games, surf the net and even run your tv.  With 2.4 GHz wireless and a wired option as well, you can connect it up to 10 meters from where you are and run your tv or computer.

For as small as this is, I was surprised at the amount of stuff on it - there is everything including the play/pause tv controls on the left side.

And on the right side there is a browser control with page up, page down, refresh and more for browsing the internet.

And of course the mouse touchpad in the middle is awesome, it's small but works great.  There is an entire QWERTY keyboard along with function keys and the instruction book has a list of functions as well as complete instructions for how to hook up the keyboard.

Definitely would be a great little gift for any kid with an Xbox or anyone who loves to just sit and surf on the internet.  There are a lot of uses for this product, just check it out on Amazon using the above link!

KabelDirekt 4-Port USB charger Review

KabelDirekt 4-Port USB charger Review

***My Personal Review***

Great little USB charger, works like a charm for me, just plug the A/C Adapter into the wall and when the light on the charger turns green you are ready to go.  I plugged in my headset that I use for work - the blue USB cable you see in the pic above - and I checked my headset and it was charging :)

You can see in the above picture, it's not plugged in yet so the light on the charger is not green.  Now check out what happens when it's plugged in :)

And it's on!  That's all it took :)  It's just an A/C Adapter that plugs into the charger's cord and it works instantly.  You can plug in up to 4 devices, but you have to remember that every device you plug in will also make them charge slightly slower because you are sharing the energy.  Otherwise, I think it's great - I have a daughter who has 2 old cell phones and 3 tablets that she uses to watch YouTube all day on, and that sucks the energy right out of them.  So this will be nice, I can use the little double-sided sticky pads to attach it to her little table and plug in all her devices to charge.

The charger itself is nice and heavy, it weighs about as much as a cell phone so it doesn't just slide off the table or desk which is nice.  Overall I like the product and would give it at least 4 stars, it works great and it's compact so you could throw it easily into a purse or bag and go.  Definitely check out the link above!

To Save Time Let's Just Assume [NAME] Is Always Right Review - Customizable Mug

To Save Time Let's Just Assume [NAME] Is Always Right Review - Customizable Mug

***My Personal Review***

This is a really cute mug, it has a great little bouquet of flowers as the background, and then you can customize it with your name in the red color.  You can choose from black or white in the mug color and it's well made, heavy and it has no marks on the outside or inside.  I am very happy with it - not a big coffee drinker, but I LOVE tea so I am going to use this for my tea :)

And of course, who doesn't LOVE to be right all the time???  I know I do, and I am :D  Do you have someone in your life that thinks they are always right?

So if you do know someone who thinks they are always right, grab up one of these cute mugs for them - customize it for Grandma or Mom or even your daughter, because I know that my mom is always telling me "okay okay, you are right" LOL!  It's fun and I think it would make anyone happy!

So don't forget to pick one up for everyone at this URL:

Trials of the Heart by Chandra Trulove Fry Official Book Tour with Giveaway!

Some would say the heart can only take so much. Some would say that the heart can endure many things. Still others might say that the right heart is strong enough for anything.

Follow Devon's journey as she faces life. Will her heart endure the trials set before her? Only time will tell.

I am a bibliophile book dragon who lives with her tech wizard husband and two youngest minions. I am a mother of three, however, and have one amazing grandson. We all reside in the beautiful Redding, California.

I am first and foremost a reader and an eclectic one at that. I own books in many various genres and will continue to hunt for more! I became a published author in 2017. My debut novella "Trials of the Heart" released in September of 2017. Since then, I have taken on many various projects. Writing is no longer just a hobby but is now a career.
